This is a Third-party Addon. The Addon/Plugin system is controlled by the Plugin Manager. Unless otherwise stated on this page, you can download this addon by following these instructions. Please note that some Addons have prerequisites that need to be installed before they can be used.

You can only manually install this tool.

There was no quick way to find People who have an Association (from either direction). There is no method that allows seeking a specific Association type or pattern of types. (In this case: “God*”.)

This tool, available from Tools → Utilities → Check Associations Data… comes closest. Users can sort on the “Type of link”, then manually look up the Persons in each line and Edit the Person.

Next steps

The specific workflow AFTER opening the 2 people could be:

1. determine which would the Godchild, open their Person Editor to look for Baptism/Christening events where they are “Primary”,
2. create one if missing, open other Person Editor,
3. drag/share Baptism/Christening event to that person if missing,
4. set Godparent role on shared event, open all “God*” Associations,
5. move any Association Sources/Notes to appropriate section of the shared Event,
6. save Event,
7. delete the Association,
8. OK to commit the 2 Edit Persons.
