This plugin is an updated version of the Check.py that came with GRAMPS 3.1.0 and 3.1.1. It is designed to fix some bad dates in GRAMPS.

To install the Check.py GRAMPS tool Plugin:

  1. Right-click on Download and Save As...
  2. Save the file to your GRAMPS User Directory, in the plugins folder as Check312.py (not as Check.py)
  3. Right-click on Download and Save As...
  4. Save the file to your GRAMPS User Directory, in the plugins folder as summary.glade
  5. Go to the GRAMPS menu and select Help, then Plugin Status
  6. Press on the Reload button, and close window
  7. From the menu, run Tools, then Database Repair, then Check and Repair Database...
  8. Click on Proceed, and GRAMPS will fix any problems
